Position Summary

AgriSompo North America provides renowned, cutting-edge analytics to address risk and the risk exposures of each of its product lines. The role of the Financial Analyst will work closely with the VP, of Financial Planning & Analysis, Regional Leaders and Department Managers to understand and analyze the Company's financial data. As your experience allows, you may be involved in the daily decisions that will have a direct impact on the profitability of the operation departments, as well as the Company as a whole.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, collecting data on financial performance and consolidating into complex reports, interpreting raw financial data to recommend changes to business process, build financial models to analyze possible business changes, gather information around business costs / expenses / activities to reduce overhead and increase profitability, and liaison between various departments within the organization.

• Prepare and distribute monthly regional and department variance analysis.
• Prepare and distribute quarterly regional profit and loss statements.
• Assist in the preparation of the Company's annual Plan and quarterly forecasts.
• Regularly engage with operational and financial leaders to help them understand monthly variances and quarterly financial statements.
• Prepare key reconciliations.
• Manage other accounting and analysis tasks as directed by leadership.
• Be proficient in the use of all AgriSompo North America accounting software applications, which includes Anaplan, SAP, and Excel.
• Various other duties, as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

Required - minimum 3 years of experience in forecasting and analyzing data.

Preferred - Accounting or Finance degree.

Experience

Required - Advanced MS Excel skills.

Required - Multiple systems experience.

Preferred - Crop Insurance experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Ability to stand or sit constantly / continuously.

Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and / or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and / or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside where there are limited extremes to heat and / or cold; moderate noise; a normal office environment.

Travel may be required for trainings and meetings-up to 5%.
