The Senior Network Engineer works closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and secure network operations. This role involves performing daily BAU (Business-As-Usual) activities such as network diagnostics, VPN configurations, and firewall policy management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily BAU tasks including network diagnostics, VPN configuration, and firewall policy changes.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address network issues and implement solutions.
Manage and maintain Azure networking components, ensuring high availability and performance.
Configure and support Azure VNETs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and ExpressRoute connections.
Conduct network troubleshooting using advanced methodologies and log analysis.
Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and best practices.
Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Networking Expertise :
In-depth knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, routing, NAT, VLANs, IP, TCP / UDP protocols, DNS, NetFlow, and load balancing.
Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
Azure Networking Skills :
Experience with Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSG), route tables, flow logs, load balancers, and Application Gateway.
Proven experience implementing Azure Site-to-Site VPN and ExpressRoute.
Strong understanding of Azure network architecture and cloud connectivity.
Technical Implementation :
Hands-on experience configuring Azure routing, VPNs, peering, and firewalls.
Demonstrated success in deploying Azure network solutions in production environments.
