Our distribution center in Nashua, NH is integral to the success our of company and NH market area. As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation and functions of the full warehouse and delivery functions including directly managing the delivery and warehouse teams. These teams are responsible for order picking, staging and delivery for accurate material selection, loading and delivery of customer orders.
We are in the process of converting our warehouse to a RF environment which will bring more visibility and accuracy to our inventory and improve results. This is a hands-on role and you will work with your team to ensure accuracy of inventory as it relates to receiving and put away via bin location system. This is a visible role and has a direct impact on the sales growth for the company.
Responsibilities of the role :
- Supervise the delivery drivers and driver assists in loading and delivering materials for customers and internal transfers.
- Resolve receiving, shipping and delivery errors independently using sound judgement, able to resolve shipping and delivery errors or requests independently
- Partner with Human Resources to address any performance, attendance, unsafe driver practices, not following Norfolk processes & other operational issues. Assist in developing corrective actions for violations for these infractions.
- Participate in interviewing, selecting, and the onboarding process for new hires.
- Maintain a culture of safety and accountability to ensure all associates operate in a safe manner in all task performed
- Verify routes of trucks in Bistrack are entered to maximize efficiency of routes, distance and customer requirements.
- Review upcoming journey planner (in Bistrtack) dates to minimize and / or eliminate back-order materials.
- Proper staging of internal transfers to be packed and loaded nightly
- Manage delivery team’s workload and hours to meet departmental budget.
- Ensure all delivery vehicles are on the property, secured and locked at the end of each day
- Responsible for compliance with DOT regulation, operation & maintenance of delivery vehicles, including road tests, DOT medical cards and vehicle inspections.
- Oversee that all company technology is being utilized by delivery & warehouse personnel to maximize efficiencies and notify IT & supervisors when issues arise prohibiting use.
- Responsible to ensure a safe work environment for all and train on proper safety protocols.
- Work with HR to report any incidents and accidents, including vehicle and injuries, to find root cause and review findings.
Requirements :
Candidates will have :
Proficient with WMS, RF systems.
