The Windows Experience team is seeking a multi-skilled Product Designer II with experience in Visual Design, Experience Design, and storytelling. We're looking for a Product Designer II driven by empathy for customers and the desire to see a project through from rough ideas to launch. The right candidate works independently and is a passionate collaborator with other design teams, engineering teams, and marketing groups. This designer defaults to a making and building mindset—when in doubt, we build something and test it. Embracing quick prototyping and testing is essential for this position.

Responsibilities
Contribute to the design's direction within their area of accountability, maintaining cohesion with the existing design system.
Lead design efforts on a product with moderate to high visibility, risk, and / or complexity.
Develop talent by mentoring, onboarding, coaching, and setting high standards for craft design.
Maintain a high standard of craft across design, product management, engineering, and marketing within a major product area.
Collaborate with other major area leaders to ensure product coherence, breaking down organizational boundaries from the experience.
Demonstrate customer obsession and empathy.
Contribute to broader Windows team culture through mentorship, onboarding, boosting team morale, and participating in ERGs / clubs.
Understand and promote the creation of a diverse and inclusive workplace at Microsoft.
Balance attention to detail with a strategic view of the overall product.
Craft compelling stories around the WHAT, WHY, and HOW of ideas, demonstrating through work rather than words.
