Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring aQuality Inspector.

Position Type: Full time Contract, Possible Temp to Direct.
Duration: 06-12 Months
Location: Palm Bay, FL (Onsite)

As aQuality Inspector, you will:

  • Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, for incoming parts in receiving,
  • Verification of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing against engineering drawings.
  • Utilize measurement devices tools such as Calipers, Height Gauge, Optical Comparator, micrometers, scales and dimensional measurement systems.
  • Utilize surface plates, precision measuring tools, gauges (blocks) and other mechanical inspection tools/tooling
  • Access drawings and inspection instructions; document non-conformances.
  • Visual inspections of hardware using microscopes and magnifying lens.
  • Review Supplier documentation for adherence to Quality Clauses and Drawing Notes.
  • Initiate nonconformance report describing and photographing discrepancies.
  • Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies.
  • Reviews and reports performance data.
  • May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers.

Preferred experience:
  • PWB inspection, Electrical part inspection, Mechanical part inspection/GD&T inspection, IPC certifications

The ideal candidate will have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Quality Inspector will inspect incoming hardware in accordance with the applicable specifications /drawing requirements and review Supplier documentation.
  • Inspector will identify and document non-conformances.
  • Inspectors will utilize measurement gauges, inspection instruments, and microscopes to perform inspections.
  • GD&T Experience.
  • Incoming inspection for all commodities including Mil Spec, Electrical, Mechanical, PWBs and more

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $25-$28 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
