Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Network Engineer in Liberty Lake, WA

As a Lab Network Engineer you will :

• Set up, configure, document, and maintain Linux and Windows systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms in the lab.
• Perform network cabling, rack setup, and physical infrastructure planning.
• Configure and manage networking components, including VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall rules.
• Deploy and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, KVM, and XCP-ng.
• Maintain and optimize storage systems used in lab environments.
• Perform regular audits of configuration and inventory data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Create and maintain scripts and tools to automate lab configuration, provisioning, and usability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve lab and network outages, hardware failures, and system performance issues.
• Address helpdesk tickets from lab users in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with IT and facility teams to resolve connectivity, power, and cooling issues.
• Participate in the design, monitoring, and improvement of lab services and infrastructure.
• Ensure proper documentation of lab systems, configurations, and operational procedures.

This is a full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

Pay Range

$45 – $60 per hour.
