Job description

Work Schedule :

60% FTE, day shift. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8 : 30AM - 5 : 00PM. Rotating weekend on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay :

  • Additional components of compensation may include :

o Weekend differential

o On-call pay

We are seeking an Autopsy Technician to :

  • Assist with autopsies.
  • Organize and catalogue forensic and medical autopsy tissue.
  • Prepare and check for completeness of all required documentation.
  • Provide oversight of QA monitoring and case accessioning.

    • Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Associate's Degree in applied science or mortuary science Preferred

    • Work Experience

  • 1 year One year completed Licensed Funeral Director apprenticeship OR One year of healthcare or relevant laboratory experience. Required
  • 2 years Two years serving as Licensed Funeral Director OR Two years of relevant laboratory experience. Preferred
