Job Summary / Description :

WLOX is looking for an experienced journalist to join our team as an Anchor / Reporter. Were looking for a newsroom leader who is energized by breaking news developing sources and cultivating community relationships in South Mississippi.

Duties / Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Anchor newscasts as assigned
• Present news in an urgent & active manner
• Conduct live interviews and anchor continuous coverage
• Help evaluate leads and tips in order to develop story ideas
• Cover news in the field as assigned
• Contribute stories to all platforms streaming website and social media
• Represent the station in the community for various promotional events
