Maintain equipment coolant systems and lubrication systems in satisfactory operating condition to achieve production and quality objectives.
KEY RESULTS AREAS :
- Machines are properly lubricated according to preventive maintenance and manufacturer guideline.
- Machine cleanliness is constantly monitored with action taken as needed.
- Records are well kept.
- Wasted effort is sought and eliminated.
- Potential machine problems are proactively sought and reported to management.
- Duties are performed in a safe manner to ensure compliance with safety specifications.
- Additional work is constantly sought in other areas to ensure a high level of productivity.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintain coolant reservoirs at proper level and concentration.Keep records of coolant usage, refractometer and pH readings.Clean coolant sumps as required.Maintain proper oil levels. If excessive oil usage is noted, attempt repair and generate work order. Ask for assistance to repair if necessary.Keep records of oil used on each machine.Change machine air filters and document on proper forms.Assist other maintenance technicians as needed.REQUIRED EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE :
High school diploma / GED required.Ability to read and comprehend information related to position.Ability to work on heavy machinery in an industrial environment.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS :
Able to use hand tools required to perform the job.Capable of walking / standing most of the day, pushing, pulling and lifting a maximum of 50 pounds.RELATIONSHIPS :
