(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) :  Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a  Civil Engineer  to join our client’s growing engineering team. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of infrastructure, transportation, and industrial projects while gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of senior professional engineers. The ideal candidate will be eager to develop their technical expertise and pursue professional licensure in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties :

• Assist in the planning, execution, and interpretation of geotechnical investigations for various project types.
• Prepare geotechnical engineering reports, proposals, and design packages under direct supervision.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to analyze soil test data and incorporate results into design recommendations.
• Prepare design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for review and approval.
• Support proposal development by providing technical input, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Design deep foundations for bridges using LRFD and ASD methods.
• Contribute to retaining wall and embankment design, ground improvement recommendations, and pavement design.
• Maintain familiarity with current geotechnical design codes and software tools (AASHTO, FHWA, NAVFAC, etc.).
• Work closely with senior engineers to gain practical experience toward P.E. licensure.
• Develop cost-effective engineering solutions consistent with project requirements and budgets.
