Job descriptionImplement and audit maintenance of KPI Boards. Responsible for CI Program training. Audit events for accuracy and sustainability. Implement and audit production recap and current day production levels. Lead and audit daily team meetings. Work with team and operations leadership to analyze and resolve minor to moderate challenges, develop and implement improvements, and maintain a safe work environment. Prepare and conduct monthly safety training sessions for all employees where relevant. Lead injury and incident inquiries, evaluations and reporting. Enforce and adhere to OrePac's policies, procedures, and safety program, as well as applicable state and federal laws. Responsible for employee training and audits of process, product, and acceptability of end products. Perform shop assessments and make recommendations for equipment, tools and man power. Investigate, support, and resolve system errors. Conduct employee training on proper system processes focused on operational efficiency, inventory, and order entry accuracy. Document, in detail, systems process resolutions for training and compliance. Forklift duties may be assigned to this position. Any assigned forklift duties will first require taking and passing a forklift training course and obtaining a certificate. Forklift duties will include staging and / or stacking material neatly and safely, operating the forklift in a safe manner, filling the forklift with propane fuel, and regularly checking the forklift fluid levels. Demonstrated success in coaching and mentoring fellow employees or teammates to achieve developmental growth. Excellent problem solving / resolution skills, including the ability to problem solve minor to moderate challenges within the department utilizing the tools and resources available and escalate the matter to a manager when appropriate. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. Excellent communication skills. Comfortability speaking in front of groups of people consisting of employees, customers, and / or members of leadership. Comfortability engaging and leading individual and team discussions and meetings. Ability to articulate direction and expectations to teammates in a clear and concise manner. Ability to re-prioritize as necessary throughout the day with minimal supervision and effectively communicate changes to the team. Must be flexible and ready to adapt within a fast-paced working environment while maintaining quality results and achieving operational goals. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations. Ability to adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated by OrePac's safety program. Ability to perform all essential responsibilities of job in a safe manner. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Technological aptitude, including the ability to learn and understand Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Systems, and Marketplace. Ability to hold people and processes accountable. Strong analytical abilities for all types of data. Bachelor's degree in any field (preferred). Any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be accepted in place of the education and / or experience requirements listed for this role. Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly required to see, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision. Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Regularly reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift / move / manipulate up to 60 pounds and occasionally required to team lift / move / manipulate up to 100 pounds. Regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Regularly steer, reach, and handle various materials or equipment if forklift operation duties are assigned to the position. Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, however, while in the branch warehouses and shops, the noise is loud. The employee routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee may work in high or precarious places. This role will travel up to 10% of a month to OrePac branches. All employees are expected to wear clothing appropriate for the nature of OrePac business and the type of work being performed. Clothing should be tasteful. Report all incidents and accidents to one's immediate supervisor immediately or within 24 hours. Maintain the work area in a safe and healthful condition. Report, and whenever possible correct, unsafe working conditions to branch leadership. Operate vehicles while in the course of employment in a safe and lawful manner. Provide assistance to reduce or eliminate workplace hazards. Comply with company drug testing policies and procedures. Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies. OrePac will provide required PPE to employees.
Continuous Improvement (CI) Supervisor
Pay & FSLA Status : Competitive Compensation, D.O.E.; Salary exempt
Regular Schedule & Shift : Monday Friday; Day Shift
Regular Weekly Hours : Full-time / 40 hours per week (overtime as needed)
Paid Time Off (PTO) : 80 hours accrued year 1; 120 hours accrued annually after year 1
Paid Sick Time : 40 hours annually

POSITION SUMMARY :
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Supervisor champions safety procedures and policies, leads the CI Program, ensures quality standards throughout operations (Quality Control), and provides systems support for WMS and BisTrack. Conducting branch audits and trainings, and providing operational support are essential to this position. This is a labor-intensive position that requires heavy lifting. Individuals are regularly on their feet throughout the day and may work at heights as required. Safety is a priority.
