Project Manager, Structures

Overview

RK&K is currently hiring an experienced leader in Structural Engineering to support existing clients and the development of new clients and efforts firm wide. As a senior member of our Firmwide development team, you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic structural pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation, primarily focused on projects across RK&K's current and new service areas. You should have state DOT experience, be highly proactive, able to develop creative technical solutions, have a strong understanding of structural operations and hands-on experience with bridge design and field operations.

This role can be remote with required travel to the project site as needed.

Essential Function

• Lead a structural design and engineering group in new pursuits with development and delivery of structural assignments
• Participate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workload
• Provide Senior level structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project
• Serve as Project / Program and Contractual Manager on a variety of structure related projects
• Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
• Direct project staff and sub-consultants
• Serve as liaison between client and firm
• Execute QA / QC for completeness and accuracy of design work
• Provide engineering judgment and initiative within the Structural Engineering field
