Job Description :

The Director of Admissions works collaboratively to meet University goals for undergraduate graduate and transfer student recruitment and enrollment. The role works with external agencies including but not limited to community colleges area businesses and non-profits to facilitate partnerships that will create pipelines to enhance future enrollment goals at UBalt. This position manages admissions / recruitment personnel within undergraduate and graduate admission to meet daily work assignments and to meet overall enrollment undergraduate and graduate goals.

The role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and consistent on-campus work is required.

Responsibilities :

Admissions Recruitment and Enrollment

• Ensures admitted students meet the admission criteria of UBalt by reviewing the admission decisions of admission counselors for accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
• Reviews exceptions to regular admission criteria and advises or escalates to Enrollment Management leadership when deemed appropriate.
• Engages in the recruiting process by planning coordinating and overseeing promotional events campus tours student interviews and other admissions activities.
• Develops and operationalizes graduate admission strategic planning designed to meet recruitment application and enrollment goals.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors degree in Higher Education Administration or other related field / discipline

Experience : Five years of progressively responsible related experience in admissions recruitment and / or related higher education areas with three years of experience in a supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications :

Education : Masters degree in Higher Education Administration or other related field / discipline

Experience : Seven to ten years of demonstrated leadership experience in admissions recruitment and / or enrollment management. Experience or knowledge of graduate admission transfer students and adult learners.
