Position Summary :

GTI Energy is seeking a skilled Tube Laser Operator to set up and operate laser cutting equipment used to cut and shape metal tubing with high precision. This individual will play a critical role in our fabrication process, ensuring quality parts are produced safely and efficiently according to production specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

Set up and operate tube laser cutting machines (e.g., BLM, Trumpf, Mazak) to cut various types of metal tubing.

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine setup and operations.

Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and minimize waste.

Inspect completed workpieces for accuracy, verifying measurements and tolerances using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.

Load and unload materials and finished parts safely.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.

Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and quality control to improve processes and resolve issues.

Record production and quality data as required.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 2 years of experience operating tube lasers in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Familiarity with G-code or CNC-based machine language preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with BLM tube laser systems or similar.

Forklift certification.

Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Working Conditions :

This position operates in a manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.

Standard shift hours with occasional overtime or weekend work based on production needs.

Monday - Thursday from 5 : 00am - 3 : 30pm
