SAP Developer

Major Duties / Responsibilities

This position will provide support for human resource applications which cover a wide range of business functions such as : Human Resources master data, organizational management, benefits, compensation, performance management, succession planning, onboarding, recruiting, and learning. ORNL’s Human Resource applications exist on a landscape that includes SAP (ECC) and SAP SuccessFactors . Software developed in both SAP technologies as well as non-SAP web technologies.

Primary duties for this position include :

• Development, support and modification of software developed in traditional technologies such as C# and C++
• Development, support and modification of software involving SAP’s ABAP technologies including SAP GUI (Classic ABAP and ABAP Objects), Business Server Pages, and ABAP WebDynpro.
• Development and support of migration activities to new SAP S / 4HANA platform
• Analysis of software requirements and assistance in application design
• Implementation of unit testing and automated testing for programs and applications
• Collaboration with developers in other areas such as Finance (include Payroll), Business Intelligence, et cetera.
• Adherence to ORNL software quality assurance standards and ITIL best practices
• Support of ORNL project management requirements
