Description

The School Social Worker and Whole Child Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive social work services to students, while also developing and implementing holistic programs that support their overall well-being and academic success. This dual-role professional addresses individual and systemic barriers to learning, ensuring that students are healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Individual and Group Support :

Provide individual and group counseling to students with social, emotional, and behavioral issues.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.

Develop and oversee school-wide programs and initiatives that address students' physical, emotional, social, and academic needs.

Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff, parents, and students on relevant topics.

Collect and analyze data to identify areas of need and track the progress of whole-child initiatives.
