Highland Consulting Group a construction specific recruiting firm specializing in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Estimator for a growing mechanical contractor in the Long Island, NY area.

Our client is a full-service mechanical contractor expanding its team to support commercial design / build and retrofit projects with values up to $3 million. This is a permanent, on-site position with no overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop master budgets and cost models for HVAC, piping and controls projects working from initial estimate to proposal.
• Provide conceptual and hard bid estimates for new builds, retrofits, and service projects.
• Maintain and enhance cost databases for improved estimating accuracy.
• Solicit and negotiate pricing from subcontractors and vendors.
• Deliver independent change order estimates.
• Support pre-construction cost estimating and project planning.
