Assembler I

Primary Functions

Installation of various vehicle interior / exterior parts according to specifications and using hand tools, power tools, and production fixtures.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Installation of all nonelectrical interior / exterior components and hardware.
• Bolts, screws, clips, or otherwise fastens together parts to form subassemblies, such as doors, seats, instrument control panels, steering columns, and axle units.
• Seals joints and seams, using caulking gun.
• Fastens seats, door paneling, headliners, carpeting, molding, and other trim into position.
• Assembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
