Sr. Accountant

Greater Salinas Area | Full-Time | $90,000 – $100,000 annually

Position Overview :

The Sr. Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic business initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting experience, attention to detail, and a drive to continuously improve financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP

Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

Lead month-end and year-end close processes

Oversee cash flow, accounts payable / receivable, and cash forecasting

Assist with audit preparation and tax filings (income, sales, payroll)

Support budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting

Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements

Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate cross-functionally

Participate in process improvement projects and financial analysis

Occasional business travel may be required

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

3+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate financial reporting

Experience working with multiple entities is required

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and Excel

CPA preferred but not required

Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills

Valid CA driver's license

Compensation & Benefits :

Salary range : $90,000 – $100,000 annually
