Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, particularly in the multifamily and affordable housing sectors. The Estimator will analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates that enable our team to execute projects efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimates.
- Utilize Bluebeam and other software tools to analyze drawings and prepare quantity take-offs.
- Prepare and present detailed cost analysis reports for management review.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to receive competitive pricing information.
- Monitor and track project budgets and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the identification of cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in multifamily or affordable housing projects.Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing.Proficiency in Bluebeam and other estimating software.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Benefits
