Opportunity : RN - PICU Job Details : Work on a 14-22 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Medical / surgical patient ratio of 4 : 1 Day shift includes charge nurse coordinator and 4-6 nurses, with preferred charge nurse free staffing Night shift includes charge nurse coordinator and 4-6 nurses, with preferred charge nurse free staffing Staff dependent on patient acuity and census Required certifications : BLS and PALS Preferred certification : ACLS Use Meditech EMR system Royal blue scrubs required May float to NICU level 1 or 2 only Weekend requirement : 4 weekend days every 4 weeks No on-call responsibilities Perform procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures Manage seizure patients and non-invasive cardiology cases Care for neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, thoracic surgery patients including thoracotomy / thoracoscopy and pectus bar implants No neurosurgery, stroke, or foreign body airway removal cases Supportive and collaborative team environment where everyone helps each other Facility : This specialized women's hospital provides comprehensive pediatric intensive care services in a state-of-the-art facility.
