ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. With help of "A" and Senior operator perform the following duties.

2. Must be able to apply primer coatings, paint coatings, protective coatings and decorative coatings to assemblies

3. Must be able to work from blueprints and trim and finish

4. Must be able to run spray rigs

5. Must be able to use fillers and basic sanding techniques

6. Must be able to perform other duties as required

Employee is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s). Performs safety related duties as assigned.

DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY

  • Employee is responsible for determining if she / he has adequate information and materials to complete tasks as directed.
  • Selection of methods and sequences within limits of the specific jobs assigned.
  • Determines if in-coming and out-going parts are made to specifications.

    Candidate skills & requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of related experience required - equivalent education and background may be substituted for experience in some areas.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of shop practices and procedures.
  • Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses.
