Description :

The role involves providing Physical Therapy Assistant services in adult acute care settings.

Responsibilities include working with patients who have orthopedic conditions such as total joint replacements, fracture management, amputations, and multi-trauma.

You will assist in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions including cerebrovascular accidents, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and others.

The job also encompasses cardiovascular care, such as post-cardiac bypass procedures, valve repairs, and pacemaker management.

In addition, you will support general medical / surgical debility and post-surgical care.

Work is Monday through Friday from 08 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

There are no weekend shifts, no call duties, and no floating to other units.

Required skills include knowledge of adaptive devices, acute care, breathing techniques, patient family education, and understanding lines and drains.

You will utilize assistive devices for mobility and be knowledgeable about safety procedures involved in patient care.

Experience with a variety of patient demographics including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics is important.

Candidates are expected to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and procedures will be crucial in this role.

This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to assess patient needs accurately.

Your commitment to improving patient outcomes through rehabilitation will be essential.
