Duties, Responsibilities & Other

This is a position for a transportation engineer with 2 or more years of relevant experience to work on public and private sector traffic and highway engineering projects. Typical projects include feasibility studies and preliminary and final design of construction projects. Duties would include the following :

Prepare highway and intersection improvement plans including computing vertical and horizontal geometrics

• Prepare traffic signal, pavement marking, signing, lighting, and maintenance of traffic plans
• Perform data collection
• Perform traffic analyses
• Prepare traffic and safety studies
• Perform traffic analyses
• Prepare quantity and cost estimates
• Prepare written reports
