An established PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization in West Springfield, MA is seeking a Locum Physician specializing in Geriatric Medicine to serve as Medical Director for a full-time, Monday–Friday role.

🩺 Position Details

📌 Title : Locum – Physician – Geriatric Medicine

📍 Location : West Springfield, MA

🕒 Schedule : Monday–Friday, Full Time

🧑‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities

As Medical Director, you will :

• Provide supervision and oversight for participant medical care
• Conduct H&Ps, reassessments, and develop treatment plans
• Evaluate applicants and participate in intake decisions
• Educate participants & families on chronic conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in family meetings and care conferences
• Oversee PCPs and APPs within the program
• Participate in on-call rotation (as required)
• Ensure clinical quality through QAPI oversight
• Assist in leadership planning and operational goals

You will play a central role in enhancing independence, dignity, and quality of life for seniors in the community 🌿💙

🎓 Required Qualifications

🔸 Active Massachusetts medical license

🔸 Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (required)

🔸 Board Certification in Geriatrics (preferred)

🔸 DEA

🔸 Supervisory experience (required)

🔸 Minimum 1 year experience with a frail / elderly population

🔸 Experience or added geriatric qualifications (preferred)

🔸 CSR / CDS

This PACE program supports adults 55+ who require nursing home–level care but wish to live safely in the community. The goal is preventative, compassionate, and coordinated geriatric care that empowers seniors to maintain independence for as long as possible. 🌟
