Neuro RN Job Details

Location : Nashville, TN 37207 – Tennessee nursing jobs

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)

Unit : 3rd Floor, Neuro Med / Surg (20 beds)

Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : 3 shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule

On-Site Position

Dress Code : Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state

BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Minimum 1 year of recent Neuro RN or Med / Surg nursing experience

Strong clinical skills : prioritizing care, multitasking, teamwork

Proficient in IV starts, wound care, surgical drain maintenance, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

Experience with Meditech EMR documentation system preferred

Neuro RN Responsibilities

Provide attentive and compassionate nursing care to Neuro Med / Surg patients and families

Conduct bedside shift reports and build positive patient relationships

Operate clinical equipment : IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, pulse oximeters, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile technology

Accurately document patient care in Meditech EMR

Collaborate with tech support and unit secretaries for smooth unit operations

Float to other units as needed per rotation policy
