Job Summary
Responsible for program planning, oversight, and evaluation for the clinical documentation excellence, denials management, patient education and utilization review programs. The executive director guides and directs individual staff in managing cases in compliance with regulatory and healthcare industry coding and billing rules. Works in partnership with physician advisors to develop and enterprise wide approach for clinical documentation excellence, denials management, patient education and utilization review. The executive director works close with the leaders of care management, coding, and patient financial services to evaluate the effectiveness of the clinical documentation, denials management, patient education, and utilization review. This position reports to the Enterprise Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer.
Experience Description
A minimum of five years of experience in an acute care environment with management experience is required. Experience in setting and executing tactics to achieve strategic goals for an organization or system is required. Demonstrated skill in collaborating with others in an academic health system or setting is required. Candidate should be familiar working within a matrixed organization.
Education Description
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required. Master's Degree in a healthcare related clinical discipline or business management is required.
Training Description
Certification in coding, clinical documentation, and / or utilization review improvement is required.
Special Skills Description
Working knowledge of financial statistics, data display, and report writing and performance improvement. Proficient in the knowledge regulatory requirements for documentation, coding and healthcare utilization management. Proven skills with communication (written, verbal, and presentation). Leadership expertise to develop professional staff and direct the work of the departments. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, electronic databases, and electronic medical record review. Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with staff and providers.
Licensure Description
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
Compensation, Benefits & Perks at Froedtert Health
Pay is expected to be between : (expressed as hourly) $58.32 - $99.14. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
