The University of Miami / UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Outreach Specialist 3 to work at the UHealth medical campus in Miami, FL.

CORE JOB SUMMARYThe Outreach Specialist 3 supports in developing and implementing new and existing public education and outreach programs, serving as a liaison to the community. The incumbent performs a wide variety of duties and demonstrates a high level of professionalism and effectiveness. Moreover, the incumbent utilizes project management skills to organize community outreach activities. The Outreach Specialist 3 serves as a lead when the Director is unavailable.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS1. Supports in the development and implementation of public education and outreach programs.2. Works with community-based organizations to plan promotional educational and other events targeted towards designing an increased awareness in the community.3. Assists in publishing activities : writing, editing, budgeting, scheduling, and distribution.4. Interacts effectively with outside advertising agencies, printers, photographers, and other vendors.5. Aids with the preparation and distribution of public health education and navigation manuals.6. Identifies effective strategies for promoting enrollment in ongoing studies, conducting active and passive recruitment, in-person, and online outreach.7. Conducts brief surveys by phone and in community settings.8. Aids with compiling data for presentations.9. Develops professional relationships with mental health providers, researchers, and community members.10. Collaborates with other members of the team on special projects and events.11. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.CORE QUALIFICATIONSEducation : Bachelor’s degree in relevant field requiredExperience : Minimum 5 years of relevant experience requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.

Technical Proficiency : Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
