Salary : Competitive rate & per diem

We are seeking a very experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for a four-month contract project. Must be able to go to the the Medford, Oregon area office for a week at a time as needed. This project will work on a new product development project alongside a team of high performing, collaborative engineers. Due to the nature of the project, must be a US Persons to be considered.

What You Get to Do!

This position is responsible for applying knowledge of engineering principles to design, develop and tests all aspects of electrical components and systems. Will use computer-assisted engineering design software and equipment to perform assignments. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. May be involved with activities of fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of electrical or electromechanical products and systems. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision and follows instructions and pre-established guidelines as defined by the supervisor.

  • Design and develop PCBAs per engineering specifications
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams
  • Design and develop around MCUs and ARM processors
  • Conducts fabrication and testing of prototype systems, and documents design modifications as required.
  • Designs, updates, and maintains schematics, layout files, and bill of materials per Engineering Change Order / Request process.
  • Initiates fabrication of test equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Supports fabrication, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Inspects completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Uses engineering methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to design and development projects.
  • Working understanding of embedded software to support electronic hardware associated with instrument development.
  • Preferred : Designs, develops, debugs and modifies embedded software to support electronic hardware associated with instrument development.

What You Will Bring…

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university and 4 years related experience; or 8 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in written form with customers, vendors and co-workers. Ability to proofread and review documents for technical accuracy and conceptual clarity.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • High level of proficiency with computers. Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with OrCAD or equivalent. Experience with PSpice or equivalent. Excellent attention to details and accuracy.
  • Strong analog signal processing background. Digital on-board communication protocols. Use of version control software. Excellent attention to details and accuracy.
