Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for an acute care assignment requiring BLS and Illinois SLP licensure, with EPIC charting experience.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care hospital settingDay shift Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PMAssignments primarily within the NICUFull-time hours, 40 hours per weekEPIC EMR system is used and experience is requiredNo local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facilityEvaluate and treat patients of all ages across diverse case backgroundsConduct assessment, develop treatment plans, and implement speech and language interventionsCollaborate closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teamsProvide education and training to patients and families regarding care plansModify intervention approach based on patient progress and feedbackUse standardized outcome measures and appropriate instrumentation in interventionsComplete documentation according to regulatory and organizational standardsNo travel partners accepted for this assignmentMust not exceed 7 days of requested time off per 13 week contractRTO must be requested prior to submissionContract limited to one calendar year, requiring a 30-60 day break before potential reassignmentRequirements
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related fieldCurrent BLS certificationActive Illinois SLP license required, if applicableExperience with EPIC charting requiredOne year of relevant SLP experience in an acute care settingBenefits
