ESSENTIAL TASKS :
- Operate overhead radio or pendulum controlled cranes for lifting, transporting and positioning of materials, parts and supplies.
- Use Conditioning departmental procedures for identifying and storing all products. Follow work schedules to keep all equipment loaded with the proper material to maximize workflow.
- Maintain proper level of supplies for department.
- Load trucks as necessary.
- Exercise care in operation to detect indication of slipping or shifting loads, incorrect hitching or slinging or other safety hazards.
- Keep all solids from saws, chips from peelers, grindings, polish and shot blast fines, moved to proper storage areas.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follow all prescribed safety regulations.
- All department 157 crane operators must be trained and tested with both written and practical tests under the Conditioning material handler training program.
NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS :
Perform other duties as required or directed by work leader or supervisor.REQUIREMENTS :
Three months up to and including one-year experience.Must be able to maintain IME certification by fulfilling all requirements.Must work from mill orders, specifications, schedules, sample request, and verbal instructions to check and inspect.We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
