West View Nursing & Rehabilitation, a 120-bed facility in West Warwick, Rhode Island, is seeking full-time, part-time, and per diem Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join our team!
As a PTA, you'll play a vital role in providing quality resident care, helping them achieve and maintain their maximum level of functionality. You'll work closely with our Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans, manage your caseload efficiently, and educate residents, families, and caregivers on post-discharge physical therapy. We're looking for someone who is compassionate, understands the importance of maintaining positive interactions, and adheres to all ethical, regulatory, and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Assisting the Physical Therapist with treatments as outlined in the Plan of Care.
Managing your caseload by scheduling individual or group treatments.
Instructing residents, families, and caregivers on PT to be continued after discharge.
Ensuring all documentation and treatment comply with billing policies and procedures.
Providing oversight and direction to therapy technicians and assisting in the supervision of students.
Ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff.
Qualifications :
Graduation from an APTA accredited PTA school and eligibility for licensure in Rhode Island.
Prior long -term care experience is preferred.
This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (or assist with lifting up to 100 pounds for patient transfers), stand for extended periods, and possess fine motor skills and visual acuity.
