Clinical Pharmacist

Scheduling Details :

Schedule : 5 day / 8-hour shifts

Shift : Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M..

On-Call : Available for on-call 1 week per month.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution

Certifications Requirements : Unrestricted license as a pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy; CPR certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience Requirements : Minimum of 1 year of experience as a clinical pharmacist in a healthcare setting

Other Requirements : Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; capacity to work independently and supervise technicians in the absence of the pharmacy director

Job Responsibilities

Provide clinical and consultative pharmacy services, including drug utilization review and medication counseling.

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to physicians’ prescriptions and facility protocols.

Maintain and update comprehensive pharmacy records, including inventory management and service documentation.

Check and verify weekly cart updates, refills, and narcotic orders to ensure safety and compliance.

Supervise pharmacy technicians and assist in training staff in the absence of the pharmacy director.
