The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Video Producer / Director to create high-quality video and photo content that elevates the City’s brand and strengthens digital engagement. This hybrid role focuses primarily on video and photography — including filming, editing, and storytelling — while also providing support in broadcast production, such as directing live meetings and assisting with technical operations.
This role is for an experienced video / photo content creator seeking to utilize their skills in crafting compelling stories, editing engaging narratives, and refining visual elements to deliver exceptional results. The role also works with the Production Manager on special projects across campaigns, branding and digital initiatives. We are looking for an individual with a passion for storytelling, strong technical foundation, and a keen eye for detail to join our dynamic team.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in radio, television, film production, or a related field
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible production experience
Preferred Qualifications Experience with professional video editing
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop
Strong understanding of visual storytelling and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent organization skills, including file and asset management
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities Video / Photo production : scriptwriting, videography, photography, drone footage
Post-production : non-linear editing, motion graphics, audio mixing
Broadcast operations : switchers, cameras, lighting, audio, Master Control
Plans and executes all phases of production
Create graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance storytelling
Support City broadcasts by operating cameras, switchers, audio boards, graphics systems, and Master Control
Technical troubleshooting and equipment setup, including multi-camera productions, for meetings, presentations, and community events
Working Conditions and Physical Demands Depending on assignment, roles may require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting and intense noises. Positions may require exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
