Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Overnight Veterinary Hospitalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group - Ventura (VMSG) was founded with a vision of providing the highest possible standard of care in veterinary medicine and surgery. This philosophy has resulted in an unparalleled level of quality and medical treatment. Our doctors and technicians provide expert medical care to ensure our patients receive the treatment and care they deserve. Our clinicians value work-life balance and attention to self-care and mental well-being. Our beautiful 16,000 square-foot specialty center is set up to practice best medicine, utilizing our in-house labs, C-Arm, 64 slice CT, 1.5 T MRI, ultrasound, and two brand new digital radiology suites. Our specialties include Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, & an experienced team of Emergency Veterinarians. We practice in a collaborative & friendly environment and enjoy mentoring new clinicians.

Ventura lies along U.S. Route 101 between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara and is described as the "land of eternal spring". It is a vibrant town that checks stress at the door, maintains an artistic culture, and offers activities to fit all interests and is considered a safer haven for social distancing than some of the surrounding cities. The downtown area features numerous restaurants, shops, wine bars, and the internationally acclaimed Rubicon Theatre Company. Events are always happening in town, including street festivals, running and cycling events, fisherman's markets, and even whale watching. $180,000-$200,000 USD
