Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cath and interventional procedure experience and current ARRT, Fluoro Permit, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Job Details

  • Position is based in an acute care hospital cath lab,
  • Perform procedures related to coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias, including coronary and peripheral diagnostics and interventions, as well as permanent pacemaker implantation,
  • Daily caseload ranges from 8 to 12 cases,
  • Day shift schedule : four 10-hour shifts, 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM,
  • Call is required; no weekend shifts scheduled,
  • Epic charting system is used, prior experience required,
  • Scrubs provided for cath lab personnel,
  • Potential to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed,

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist,
  • Valid ARRT, Fluoro Permit (pending permit considered if application is submitted), BLS, and ACLS certifications required,
  • RCIS certification is not accepted,
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required,
  • Must be willing to participate in required call rotation,
  • Must be eligible to work within a 50-mile radius rule for local candidates,
  • References : minimum of two supervisory references from the past three years in comparable settings,
  • License required if applicable,

    • Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
  • Hospital provides an initial 30-hour orientation and required modules must be completed prior to start,
  • Holiday coverage : traveler must be willing to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year),
  • Return staff must have a 3-month interval before returning as a traveler,
  • Scrub colors are specified for each department; OR / Cath Lab scrubs are provided,
  • Free parking is available on the first day, with assigned parking given during orientation,
  • RTO must be approved prior to contract and minimal RTO is preferred,
  • Travelers may be expected to float to sister facilities as necessary,
  • Facility can provide housing resources if help is needed,
