Job description

Truck-to-Truck Supervisor

Starting pay : $24.00 per hour

Day shift (10 : 00 AM 8 : 30 PM), subject to change to 2nd or night shift depending on operational needs

The Truck-to-Truck Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of drum transfers, compliance paperwork, and the safe movement of materials. This position ensures that all DOT and environmental regulations are followed, key compliance deadlines are met, and that facility operations run smoothly. The Supervisor provides hands-on leadership, ensuring timely, compliant, and efficient Truck-to-Truck (TTT) operations while maintaining strong communication with management, logistics, and safety teams.

Responsibilities include :

  • Monitoring and ensuring all key compliance deadlines, including 10-day drum transfer requirements, are consistently met.
  • Communicating with management regarding DOT compliance and operational issues that could affect business continuity, and coordinating with Corporate and National Logistics on carrier scheduling and equipment needs.
  • Maintaining Truck-to-Truck systems and logs through Microsoft Outlook, Power Suite, and related databases to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  • Partnering closely with facility personnel to resolve any rejected drums or compliance issues, reporting any leaks or releases to Health & Safety or Compliance Managers, and ensuring DOT exemptions are properly applied before shipment.
  • Hands-on forklift operation to offload, palletize, and reload materials, inspection of outbound containers, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years of experience in transportation, logistics, or hazardous-material handling preferred.
  • Forklift training, DOT training, and manifest knowledge required.
  • Must be proficient in Windows-based applications with strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance at all times.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Medium work, including frequent standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing, and operating forklifts.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination, near and far visual acuity, and tolerance for loud environments.

    • Supervisory Responsibility :

  • This position supervises Truck-to-Truck Technicians and is responsible for training, scheduling, performance feedback, and recommending hiring or corrective actions as needed.
