Job Description

As a Security Professional - - Retail Site Patrol - Full Time in Whittier, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include performing routine patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. You will interact with the public and store personnel, providing outstanding customer service while addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and / or other unwanted behavior.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with store management and staff to address security-related needs and provide a welcoming presence for all patrons.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique environment and customer experience expectations within a retail setting, adapting to changes as required.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
