Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech / X-Ray Tech / C-Arm Tech) - Surgical Setting

Position Overview :
We are hiring a dedicated and experienced Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join a leading ambulatory surgery center in the Carmel / Westfield, Indiana area. This is an excellent opportunity for a certified X-Ray Technologist or Surgical Imaging Tech looking for a steady weekday schedule, no weekends, and a supportive clinical team environment.
As a Surgical Radiologic Technologist , you'll work alongside surgeons and OR staff to perform diagnostic imaging and intraoperative fluoroscopy using mobile imaging equipment such as C-arm fluoroscopy machines . This role is ideal for someone with ARRT certification , strong OR experience, and a passion for patient care and surgical precision.
Key Responsibilities :
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment , including X-ray and C-arm units, during surgical and outpatient procedures
Perform high-quality radiologic exams and fluoroscopic imaging under sterile conditions in the operating room
Collaborate with surgical techs , circulating nurses , and surgeons to ensure imaging needs are met throughout procedures
Ensure proper patient positioning , radiation protection, and equipment calibration
Maintain accurate electronic health records and follow all HIPAA and regulatory guidelines
Monitor and maintain radiation safety practices according to OSHA and ARRT standards
Clean, prep, and troubleshoot mobile imaging systems and digital radiography (DR) equipment
Assist with room turnover and support other clinical tasks as needed in the surgical environment
Qualifications :
ARRT (R) certification (required)
Indiana Radiologic Technologist license (required)
1+ years of experience as a Rad Tech or OR Imaging Tech (surgical environment preferred)
Experience operating C-arm fluoroscopy , mobile X-ray, and other intraoperative imaging equipment
Familiarity with PACS systems , digital imaging , and EMR documentation
Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and communication skills
CPR / BLS certification preferred
