Hours : Up to nine workload hours per semester
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create syllabus and timeline of classes for students each semester.
- Provide meeting times for students.
- Manage online grading system and submit grades in a timely fashion.
- Abide by all relevant university and department policies.
Required Qualifications :
Knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the field of study.Knowledge of subject matter and course content.Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.Ability to support, instruct, motivate, and evaluate students.Skilled in computers, Internet resources, and MS Office.Ability to learn BannerWeb for student grading.Ability to integrate technology into teaching.Effective communication skills verbally and in writing.Knowledge of Belmont University's programs and services.Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in music required; Doctorate preferred.Higher education teaching experience preferred.The candidate must complete a background check and Belmont University participates in E-Verify.
