ICU Nurse Job Details

Location : Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (Upstate New York healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel, On-Site

Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : January 31, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36 (Guaranteed)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020

Open Positions : 2 ICU RN jobs

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holiday required

ICU Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience

Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications

Proficient in hypothermia protocols, balloon pump management, and pulmonary artery line care

EPIC EMR charting experience required

Available to work through the holiday season

Must pass on-site, closed-book ECG exam (study materials provided)

Residency restrictions : Cannot reside in Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany counties

Facility physical and flu vaccination required (documentation needed 10 days before start)

Not eligible if employed at this facility in the past year or within AMC network in the past six months

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU

Monitor, assess, and respond to complex patient needs, including hypothermia, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery lines

Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR system

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Participate in required on-site ECG exam and maintain clinical competency

Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
