Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement control strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards for control system design and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical input on the selection and implementation of control hardware and software.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and implement innovations as needed.
- Manage controls engineering projects and align activities with overall project goals.
- Collaborate with external controls vendors to ensure effective project execution.
- Facilitate training sessions for team members and end-users on control system operation and maintenance.
- Lead and mentor small group of control technicians across all shifts.
- Create and maintain documentation for control system designs, configurations, and changes.

Qualifications
Education
Required
Bachelors or better in Computer Engineering or related field.Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering or related field.Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Experience
Required
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex control systems (Allen Bradley, Ignition, VFDs / drives, Servos / motors, vision systems).Proficiency in ladder logic, structured text, and Function Block Diagrams (FBD) Allen Bradley.Expertise in designing and implementing control systems (PLCs, SCADA, etc.) Allen Bradley / Ignition.Experience managing relationships with control system vendors and suppliers.Proven ability to lead and manage control system projects from concept to completion.Preferred
Proficient in creating and maintaining technical documentation.Experience with the Ignition platform and dashboard development.Knowledge of C, C++, or Python.Familiarity with robotic control systems and programming (Fanuc).Experience with MES systems and industrial controls integration.Experience in consumer appliance manufacturing.Seniority level
