Job Description & Requirements
Title : Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location : Wyoming, MI
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day shift – 4x9.5-hour shifts (07 : 30–17 : 30)
On-call required : one weeknight per week + every 3rd weekend
Job Responsibilities, Required & Preferred Skills :
Perform general interventional radiology and neuro-interventional procedures in a comprehensive stroke center.
Set up equipment, prep access sites, scrub and maintain sterile field, and circulate during procedures.
Operate and maintain fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and related IR imaging equipment.
Manage vascular access, assist with closure devices (Perclose, StarClose).
Follow infection control and sterile technique standards.
Support supply stocking, procedural room preparation, and PACS usage.
Work in Interventional Radiology and hybrid OR settings as needed.
Required Experience & Skills :
Experience : Minimum 2 years Interventional Radiology experience.
Certifications : ARRT (R)
BLS
Charting : Epic experience required.
Trauma experience : Preferred Level I or Level II Trauma.
Travel experience : Required (no first-time travelers).
Technical Skills (Required) :
3D imaging
Isolation precautions
Angiography and angioplasty procedures
Embolization
Aortography, visceral angiography
Paracentesis, thoracentesis
Gastrostomy tube placement
Drain and catheter exchanges
Nephrostomy, biliary drainage
IVC filter placement / removal
Renal artery interventions
Uterine artery embolization
Central venous access and port placement
Thrombolysis / thrombectomy
EVAR, TIPS
Upper / lower extremity angiography
Neurovascular procedures including carotid angiography, stenting, embolization, and vertebroplasty
Equipment :
Siemens and Philips bi-plane systems
Fluoroscopy and ultrasound devices
Preferred Skills
Experience in hybrid OR
Use of Rapid Response / Code Teams
Cholecystostomy
Advanced vascular closure devices
Additional neuro-interventional skills
