DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Residential Services Aide, you will assist staff that develops, delivers, and monitors treatment and related services provided at Ebensburg Center. You will address self-care, socialization, and health maintenance needs to support each resident's Individual Support Plan (ISP). You will also record information, monitor individuals, and assist with revising ISPs as necessary. This role requires attentive care skills to observe changes in individual physical status and effective communication to inform the attending nursing team of additional resident care needs. In addition, you will escort individuals to various activities, participate in housekeeping functions, and assist with purchasing appropriate personal items that maximize therapeutic environments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (2 : 45 PM to 11 : 15 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating schedule and have rotating days off. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime is required
  • Travel as needed
  • Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :

  • Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

  • Legal Requirements :

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
