Android Developer

Pay Range : $60 - $70 / hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience :

• Key Skills : Android
• Jetpack
• Kotlin
• Designing, developing, and maintaining Mobile applications in a fast-paced environment 8 years of professional experience developing publicly available Android apps using Kotlin or Java.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.  Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.  Experience optimizing Android applications for performance and responsiveness.
• Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other relevant tools.
• Experience using third-party libraries and APIs in Android development.  Knowledge of mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies used in creating performant and resilient Android Apps. Your advanced Git skills and respective branching strategies. Understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of accessibility features on Android and building accessible experiences on Android will be a plus. Understanding how to use Gen AI tools like Copilot or Gemini will be a plus.
