Job Summary

The Associate Director of Risk Management is responsible for assessing the property and casualty exposures of high‑net‑worth clients, reviewing current coverage, and designing and implementing coverage changes in conjunction with our client’s broker to mitigate these risks. This role requires extensive interaction with high‑net‑worth clients, insurance brokers, third‑party vendors, and internal team members to ensure optimal coverage and service. The Associate Director is responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of high‑net‑worth insurance markets and underwriting positions and cultivating relationships with key carrier personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Client Assessment and Program Design

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of high‑net‑worth clients’ property and casualty exposures.
• Review current insurance program to identify areas of improvement in coverage and / or pricing to better address identified risks.
• Remarket risks with broker assistance as necessary to ensure optimal coverage and terms.

Client Interaction

Collaboration with Brokers and Carriers

Cultivate productive relationships with key carrier personnel.

Pay Transparency

Pathstone’s expected starting base compensation range for the position as of the time of this posting is $100,000 – $130,000 per year. The actual base compensation selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) experience, education, specialty and training. The successful candidate(s) may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus award.
