Job Description
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited MRI program
Experience: ≥3 years MRI experience, ≥2 years leadership in a high-volume MRI department, experience with complex exams, cardiac studies, sedation, pacemakers/implants; Brainlab experience a plus
Certifications: ARMRIT, ARRT-MR, or ARRT-R; BLS within 30 days of hire
Shift: FT Days 7a-3:30p with holiday/backup call
Other: Must perform supervisory duties while also working as a technologist
The Special Imaging MRI Supervisor oversees MRI operations within a high-volume radiology department, supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This working supervisor role includes teaching, coaching, and performing MRI exams, including complex studies involving sedation, pacemakers, implants, and cardiac cases. The supervisor acts as a liaison in the manager's absence, develops policies and procedures, and ensures alignment with organizational goals, vision, and quality standards. On-call coverage includes holiday and backup rotations.
