We are proud to be the first PT practice in San Diego founded on functional medicine, taking a “systems-based” approach into how all body systems interact (neuromuscular, digestive, endocrine, cardiovascular, etc.) instead of treating symptoms in isolation.

What You’ll Do
As a physical therapist with Passage Physical Therapy and Wellness, you’ll take full ownership of the patient care process from start to finish, including both clinical treatment and essential administrative responsibilities.
Your role will include :
- Delivering 1 : 1 physical therapy and wellness coaching in the patient’s home (mobile outpatient model).
- Performing comprehensive evaluations and developing treatment plans that go beyond traditional rehab, which incorporate functional medicine and the Pillars of Wellness : Sleep & Relaxation, Exercise & Movement, Nutrition, Stress Management, and Connection.
- Providing skilled manual therapy and guiding patients through Comprehensive Wellness and Movement Programs.
- Integrating education into every session by simplifying complex health concepts for patients.
- Managing scheduling, follow-up, and patient communication.
- Handling documentation, billing, and submitting claims in a timely and accurate manner.
- Logging revenue by accessing insurance portals, reviewing remittance advices, and ensuring accurate tracking of payments.
- Communicating with physicians, providers, and insurance companies, including faxing and managing paperwork as needed.
- Creating marketing materials and promoting services within the community.

Two hours of pay for every one-hour session : We compensate for both treatment and non-treatment time. For every hour of direct patient care, you’re paid for two hours of work (to include documentation, travel, marketing, admin, and communication). This ensures your time and expertise are full
y valued.
Starting Pay : We are a growing physical therapy practice, and our starting rate reflects the significant overhead of a new business (onboarding, workers’ compensation, payroll, benefits, software, and supplies). Compensation will be reviewed and reassessed after 3 months, with opportunities for adjustment as the therapist’s caseload and the company’s growth progress.

Requirements for team members include :
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy programLicensed Physical Therapist in CaliforniaCPR / BLS certifiedReliable transportation (large enough for a treatment table and therapy equipment) and a valid driver’s licenseMust have a tablet with Wifi for documenting patient visits on-the-goPassionate about wellness, movement culture, and empowering patientsStrong communicator and educatorExperience with mobile work preferredJoin Us
