Job description

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the Regional Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) plays a vital role in supporting patients with rare diseases by driving disease awareness and education among healthcare providers. This position focuses on educating clinicians and their teams on recurrent pericarditis and approved therapeutic options, including efficacy, safety, administration, and patient support services.

The CSS is responsible for executing a strategic sales plan across multiple territories in partnership with territory-based colleagues, leveraging business insights to optimize customer engagement and enhance patient experience. Through thoughtful communication and tactical implementation, this individual will contribute to organizational growth while making a meaningful impact on healthcare professionals and the patients they serve.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a strategic education and engagement plan in alignment with commercial objectives, including customer targeting, account management, business assessment, and resource optimization.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by providing coverage across multiple territories or accounts as directed by regional leadership.
  • Educate cardiologists, rheumatologists, and key decision-makers on the appropriate use of approved treatments for recurrent pericarditis.
  • Provide comprehensive education on patient services and support programs to ensure a positive treatment journey.
  • Identify, plan, and execute regional and local educational opportunities such as congresses, hospital exhibits, and peer-to-peer programs.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals through strategic and compliant execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with field partners and internal teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted and reliable resource for external healthcare stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all compliance, legal, and ethical business practices.
  • Maintain territory budget discipline and accurately document field activities.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • 8+ years of biopharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in rare disease , specialty therapeutics , and / or cardiology strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience promoting injectable or reconstitution injectable products is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of sales success and strategic account management.
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy , HUB services , and patient support programs .
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Highly motivated, driven, and adaptable professional with strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 8590% of the time, including overnight stays across multiple territories.
  • Valid drivers license required.
