Incentives : $10,000 Sign-On Bonus available with distance-based relocation, and $2,000 Sign-On Bonus eligible for evening shifts.
Schedule Details : Full-time, evening shift with 8 or 10-hour options, Monday to Friday, with on-call rotation (mostly overnight and 1-2 weekend call slots within an 8-week schedule).
Major Responsibilities :
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient operating room environment while ensuring optimal patient care.Utilize aseptic surgical techniques for preparing materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.Set up and break down the operating room, including moving equipment and handling instruments.Assist surgeons by anticipating their needs and providing necessary instruments and supplies.Notify staff of equipment and supply issues and transport patients as needed.Ensure specialty carts and items are complete and in working order.Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific needs for patients served.Qualifications :
Licensure : BLS certification from AHA within 6 months of hire (unless waived by department leader).Education : Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.Experience : No prior experience required.Knowledge and Skills :
Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements :
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing / pulling with force.Frequent movement required : sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and bending.Exposure to various hazards (mechanical, chemical, blood, etc.), requiring protective gear.This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the role, but may not cover all duties and responsibilities.
